COVID-19 Updates from Hamby Family Dental

Our biggest priority at Hamby Family Dental continues to be the safety of both our patients and staff members. As the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation continues to evolve, we will strive to work in accordance with the recommendations set forth by the American Dental Association and the North Carolina Dental Board.

With this pandemic comes so many uncertainties and fears, it’s understandable to feel completely overwhelmed. We care about you. That’s why we’re taking the time to reassure you, letting you know that our office is open for business and available to assist with preventative dental and emergency dental care needs.

Additionally, because our staff wants to do their part in protecting your safety, we’ve added new safety measures to reduce any potential risk during this time. Please keep reading if you’re interested to learn more about any updates regarding our operational changes, or to learn more details about our new cleaning and disinfecting practices we’ve put in place.

New Measures to Protect Your Safety

Hamby Family Dental wants to do our part in keeping you safe while we continue to treat and provide care for our clients. Here are some of the ways we are taking extra precautions:

Masks are Mandatory

In accordance with Governor Copper’s mandate effective Friday, June 26th, masks will be required while inside the building.  This includes the waiting area, hallways, and the check-out counter.  If you do not have a mask, one will be provided.

Cleaning and Disinfecting Procedures

The dental chair, table, and x-ray machines will continue to have fresh plastic barriers for each patient, and all operational rooms will be stringently cleaned and sanitized after every use.

Personal Protective Equipment

Since most dental care procedures require close interaction, our dentists will continue to wear their personal protective equipment including disposable masks, gloves, and gowns.

Rescheduling Sick Patients

We ask you kindly, if you are feeling sick or have a family member that’s feeling under the weather, please reschedule your appointment. We will accommodate you at a later date. This is one of the most important preventative measures we can take in reducing the transmission and spread of this virus.

If we suspect that you are sick, or you have given us any reason to believe you’ve had potential exposure to someone infected, we will immediately request that you reschedule your appointment until a later date, where we will then reassess the situation.
